Thank you for checking out the One Heart Guatemala 2011 blog site! We are a team of 29 students and adults who will be serving in Guatemala over the week of July 15-22. We will be working with MMM (Medical Missions Ministries). We will be traveling with a team of doctors and translators to several villages in order to care for the needs of the people in those places. Just prayed over and watched God’s team leave for the airport this morning. What an amazing group of people going and an amazing group staying behind to pray for them. Can’t wait to hear what God will do thru these chosen.
I’m praying that you all will have the courage to bless the people God places in your path with a listening ear and the good news of the Gospel. We love you guys! I’m also praying for team unity throughout the week. I can’t wait to hear the God stories when you come home.

Hey team, we are watching your flight progress through my iPad (yes Paul, I know you want one) and we are praying for you. May you enter in boldly from day one and not hold back at all. Corey, your family loves you dearly and is so excited for you. Use that joy for adventure you have for high ropes or jumping off high places to spur you into deeper ministry. Be filled with the love God has for you and overflow it into the lives of others through kind actions and bold sharing. We are praying this will be true of you and the whole team!
Happy 13th Birthday Jeremy…wish so much I could give you a birthday hug in person, but I cannot have asked for a better gift for you, then to be on a mission trip on your birthday. I know this will be spriritually life changing for you. Just think, God knew before He gave you to me 13 years ago, that you would be there on this special day. As you took your first breath on this day, breath in your Savior today, He is making you into such a faithful young man of God…you are His and I am so blessed to be able to have you for a son. I love you….and miss you so…(p.s. Autumn you are an amazing older sister, so glad Jeremy is there with you on his birthday, thank you in advance for helping make it a special day for him).

Hi Guatemala Team!! I am so glad to finally be able to log in here to see/read how you all are doing. Thankful also that the flight seems to have gone well as well as arrival and customs. We have been in the N. Georgia mountains camping and getting James home from camp. Please please give Shannon a big hug and kiss for us and tell her we are “fervently” praying for her and the entire team. Also tell her that we spent some time w/ the Ligas’ and they are praying too and are so proud of her for serving her Lord in this way!

As you guys near the end of your trip I am sure your bodies are tired but your spirits are strong!!! I am so thankful for your courage to go and be the hands and feet God calls us to be!
